MY TAKE AND WHY IN SUPPORT OF GENDER EQUALITY AND EQUITY

UNDERSTANDING GENDER

This is a constructed and attributed social roles, responsibilities, activities considered for men and women. As humans from different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds it  would be perceived from different angles but arriving to the same meaning as a set of economic, political roles, responsibilities and obligations tagged to being a male or female.

Also our identity and orientation with reference to social and cultural differences give rise to gender rather than biological ones.

WHY SHOULD MEN WORK TOWARDS ACHIEVING GENDER EQUALITY

Considering the fact that we are all humans and should have equal right to all will give room for equal responsibility, respect and obligations to the individual for his family and the society at large. The power gender imbalance have given rise to reduction in life span of the men and given rise to high number of widows due to too much stress on the men in providing for his family and the society around him.

Gender equality will bring harmony and fast track high level of community development.

Giving equal right to education, employment and independence to women will also help in promoting the societal development faster than we can imagine. Giving such privileges to women will enable then offer their best to their families and the society because i strongly believe in the soft unique nature of women.

This cause for gender equality worth the fight because it will increase the momentum for change and fast rural and urban development.

Finally i will add that gender equality will reduce the promotion of social structure and intimate partner violence in the society.

Thanks for reading..

I hope this is educative to the men.
