Training “Building Gender-responsive National Evaluation Capacity”

TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear colleagues,

UN Women and the Africa Centre for Transformative and Inclusive Leadership (ACTIL), with support from EvalGender+, the global partnership to promote Equity Focused and Gender Responsive Evaluations is pleased to announce the upcoming training “Building Gender-responsive National Evaluation Capacity” from 2-6 November 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The objective of the training is to equip participants with skills and knowledge for developing and implementing a gender responsive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system at national level. The course will examine the key actors and steps involved in developing national evaluation policies and systems, key elements of transformational leadership, issues around advocacy for evaluation at national level, strategies for stakeholder engagement etc.

The training targets Members of Parliament, Government officials and policy-makers incl. Government ministries (Finance, Planning, Women & Gender etc.) who are involved in building or implementing national M&E systems; M&E units at government level and National Statistical Agencies, Civic / CSO leaders involved in M&E work at national level and professionals/ training institutions who provide training in the above areas.

This is a unique opportunity for participants to learn about evaluation as instrumental tool for good governance, learning and evidence-based decision-making, through uncovering impacts of national policies and programs on gender dynamics at different levels.

Some one from Pakistan should participate in this training and i would request UN Women Pakistan to provide support in this regard.
