DESCRIPTION:\r\nNonprofit program evaluation is a systematic process t
 o understanding what difference a program has made. It can answer ques
 tions such as - Are at risk students reading better? Are homeless peop
 le getting resources they need to secure housing? Are diabetic patient
 s exercising more, and eating better?\r\n\r\n\r\nA critical element of
  nonprofit program evaluation is measurable outcomes. These are change
  statements, requiring organizations to define what their program acti
 vities are, and what change is expected as a result. Development profe
 ssionals frequently need these statements for grant proposals, and pro
 gram staff need them to serve as a compass as to what they want to ach
 ieve. Both parties need to be in agreement as to what these outcomes a
 re, and how they will be measured.This learning lab will provide an ov
 erview of evaluation, and then hone in on how to create measurable out
 comes collaboratively. A succinct formula to develop these outcomes wi
 ll enable participants to gain hands on experience, and integrate this
