DESCRIPTION:Climate Change is adversely affecting the lives, well-bein
 g, and livelihoods of the world’s poorest, among them a disproportio
 nate number of persons with disabilities, especially women and girls w
 ith disabilities. Women and girls with disabilities face multiple form
 s of discrimination due to the intersectional challenges of ableism an
 d sexism. This event will provide an overview of the impact of climate
  change on women and girls with disabilities; their engagement in clim
 ate change-aligned work; and learnings about steps being taken by diff
 erent stakeholders such as the UN, donor agencies, OPDs, and NGOs work
 ing at the intersection of climate change, disaster risk reduction, di
 sability and gender.  This session is organised by the Disability Righ
 ts Fund (DRF)/ the Disability Rights Advocacy Fund (DRAF), Internation
 al Disability Alliance (IDA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs Finland and
