The course will explore the key concepts a nd theories related to gender and development, such as the social cons truction of gender, intersectionality, and feminist development.\nThe course will also examine the United Nations Sustainable Development Go als (SDGs) and the role of gender mainstreaming in achieving these goa ls. Students will learn how gender mainstreaming can ensure that devel opment policies and programs are designed and implemented in ways that address the needs and priorities of both women and men, and promote g ender equality and empowerment.\n \nTarget Audience:\nThe Gender and Development course is designed for participants from various disciplin es, including development studies, sociology, gender studies, and inte rnational relations. The course is also suitable for professionals wor king in development-related fields, including policymakers, government officials, non-governmental organizations, and United Nations agencie s, who seek to enhance their knowledge and skills in gender and develo pment and promote gender equality and empowerment in their work.\n Ent ry Requirement: Students must have a current e-mail account, regular a ccess to and general familiarity with the internet and mobile phones.\ n Award of the Certificates: Successful students will receive the GHR LTI Certificate of Completion in Gender and Development (GD).\nCourse Fee: The course tuition fee is US$300.
