 n Monitoring and Evaluation. This year the programme's focus is on Pla
 nning, Monitoring and Evaluation for Complex Development Programmes. T
 his is a a cutting-edge Intensive Training Course of excellence that a
 ddresses the challenges posed to planning, monitoring and evaluation (
 PM&E) in substantially complex development situations characterized by
  a changing environment and unpredictable results. In innovative proje
 cts and programs of development and social change, at the time of stra
 tegic planning often it is difficult, if not impossible, to predetermi
 ne what specific, measurable actions need to be taken or what will res
 ults will be achieved. In spite of the uncertainty, multiple, interact
 ing actors and factors create many options for intervening, measuring 
 and learning. 
To meet this challenge, the course presents four tool
 s and approaches delivered in two separate modules for 5 days of train
