A related question is which software to use. B ut other equally critical questions include: how to ally methodologica l approaches to evaluation with the software choice, how best to work in a team environment. In my talk I would address these questions and discuss 3 popularly used qualitative software programmes from my persp ective as a user: NVivo, Atlas-ti, MaxQDA. My use of each of these pro grammes on big data-sets has led me to assess them from a perspective of software and hardware, and I hope my insights will spare other woul d-be users some future angst.\r\n\r\n\r\nMelita Vaz holds a doctoral d egree from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor which empowered and d iverted her career track from its origins in clinical service delivery and program management to research, monitoring and evaluation. Self-d esignated as a data elf with gifts for quantitative and qualitative re search methods she is struggling with a Pandemic obsession to learn Py thon. Though based in the private sector in Mumbai city, she maintains professional ties with various universities through her training work shops for doctoral students related to research methodology and softwa re. Her qualitative software journey has taken her for long visits to the isles of NVivo, Atlas-ti, and MaxQDA with a brief stop-over at QDA -Miner Lite. She has only taken a look at tourist brochures for Dedoos e, and has plans for a trip to RQDA when travel conditions are favoura ble. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
