Session #3 of the UNICEF Gender and Evidence learning series: Real Time Assessment and Evaluation of gender issues in humanitarian crises.
We know that crises can quickly reverse social progress while also creating new opportunities for engagement and empowerment. What are the gender issues that need to be examined, and which are the best tools to use in the assessment and evaluation phases? We will become familiar with a multi-sectoral rapid assessment tool recently piloted by UN Women, as well as the Real Time Evaluation method used in humanitarian evaluations by the UNICEF Evaluation Office.
