DESCRIPTION:This is a webinar series on the Impact of Covid-19 on endi
 ng Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).\r\nThe first webinar was organiz
 ed the 22nd of April 2020 and focused on the situation in Tanzania. A
 mong others, Rhobi Samwelly, director of two safe houses in Tanzania
  for girls who escape for FGM shared with the audience how Covid-19 wa
 s impacting her work. In addtion, Annemarie gave a presentation on exi
 sting research, the similarities and differences between Ebola and Cov
 id-19, potential risks, challenges, opportunities and solutions. The r

  the 7th of May 2020 and focused on the situation in Kenya. Among oth
 ers, Margaret Oyugi of the Coalition on Violence Against Women (COVAW)
  shared with the audience how they developed new ways of advocay and c
 ampaigning (for examply by using the radio) in times when community ou
 treach is impossible of Covid-19. In addition, Annemarie shared with t
 he audience all input she received on the potential risks, challenges,
  opportunities and solutions related to Covid-19. The recording of web

  Asia. We'll invite speakers from Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Thai
 land to share with us their important experiences related to how Covid
 -19 is impacting their work in relation to FGM. We will talk about the
  possible delay of cutting ceremonies, the development of new apps tha
 t might help campaigners in the fight against FGM during times of soci
 al-distancing and isolation and the potential backlash that Covid-19 m
