Camino gGmbH (Berlin) is seeking a feminist researcher for an evaluation project in Haiti on gender effects of the self-help group approach promoted by an international development NGO. 

The researcher would gather chiefly qualitative data using (and adapting as needed) interview, group discussion and observation guides prepared by an international evaluation team. Overall, some 15 consulting days are planned which can be spread over a three-month period from March to May 2020. F3E and Planète Enfants & Développement are caling for applicants for an evaluation of the effects of the strategy implemented by the subprogram “Emanciper et Protéger” (To Emancipate and Protect): gender equality and the protection of women in two regions of Nepal. 

This call for expressions of interest is intended to find qualified consultants. At the end of this call for expression of interest, a pre-selection will be made, then a restricted call for contenders will be launched with the pre-selected consultants, on the basis of the finalized terms of reference of the evaluation, in French and English. Offers may be submitted in French or English. At that point, the résumé of the consultant wishing to be the head of the mission is required. If a consultant team is proposed, sending the résumé of the associated consultant(s) is not required at this stage of the call for expressions of interest, but it is nevertheless encouraged. Coming soon | Call for proposals to implement and evaluate women’s group-based economic empowerment projects 
Dear colleague,
3ie will issue a request for proposals on Tuesday, 25 February inviting organisations working on and/or evaluating innovative projects that promote and accelerate scalability, market access and bargaining power of women’s collective enterprises in India.

The grants under the upcoming Swashakt evidence programme will fund:

  1. the implementation of pilot or at-scale projects that support collective and group-based models for women-led enterprises, including off- and non-farm and service enterprises that may be operating in partnership with state rural livelihood missions.
  2. impact and process evaluations of these projects.

Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the objective of this 3ie programme is to generate evidence-informed interventions to enhance the viability and economic empowerment outcomes of women’s collective enterprises.  

Note: This call will seek proposals from implementing agencies as well as evaluation teams.
