Dear Ann

Greetings from Norwich in the UK. Thanks so much for reading my blogs on the personal learning journal. Great to hear that you will try out the prompt sentences with your students on their projects. When I am running courses over a few days, I  introduce the idea of the personal learning journal on day one and invite the course participants to practice immediately with a prompt sentence. I give them a note book and a pen and the sentence and the writing begins. On day one we practice free writing for 3 minutes and then build up the time day by day. I also give a prompt sentence for homework after class. Doing this helps to embed the idea of writing as practice and not a one off thing. I would love to hear how you get on. All the best Penny
