I have over 8+ years’ experience working with humanitarian organisations in the contexts of emergence response in South Sudan, Somalia, Syria/Iraq and Bidi-bidi –Yumbe Uganda, recovery and development both locally and internationally. I have practical work experience in specialized GBV response, Prevention and mitigation and prevention, Protection programming and coordination interventions targeting, especially the war-affected populations, IDPs, Migrants, Refugees, asylum seekers, Trafficked persons, Returnees, and vulnerable host communities). These practical works gave me an opportunity to gain good experiences in rendering services in GBViE, Protection response. I have played the role of Refugee and Migrants Focal Points, for Health Pooled Fund –South Sudan, IRC-South Sudan/Uganda, IMC, Dorcas -Iraq in Integrated Programme, including GBV and Protection Mainstreaming into Health Sectors, a program for Migrant/Asylum Funded project implemented by UNFPA-UNICEF-UNHCR, HPF-3 –South Sudan including intervention on GBV Case Management and PSS training and GBV referral.
I have experience leading program/ project implementation and I have expertise in a wide range of areas including but not limited to: gender based violence, women empowerment programming, protection, child protection, Peace building, NFI/CBI, WASH, MHPSS and legal aid service. I also have experience in monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, coordination, support supervision, advocacy and project management. Am passionate about human rights and I have spent a larger part of my career pursuing equality and inclusion and responding to Humanitarian crisis response in the world. Currently I am based in South Sudan and have been working for Health Pool Fund –HPF-3 as GBV & Protection Specialist (Consultancy) and My main focus was on the scaling up of GBV & Protection, MHPSS and Disability inclusions service provision across all the 21 Lots in the eight of South Sudan: Eastern Equatoria, Central Equatoria, Western Equatoria, Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Western Bahr el Ghazal, Warrap, Unity, and Lakes. to ensure gender equality, response to GBV preventions, Youth friendly services at health facilities and safeguarding of women, children, and other vulnerable persons. This role will focus on the scaling up of GBV & Protection service provision.
