Join DME for Peace on Thursday, October 15th at 10am EDT, as Theo Dolan, Technical Advisor at FHI 360, joins the Thursday Talks to lead a discussion on “A Guide to Countering Violent Extremism at the Local Level“.
FHI 360 recently launched their online CVE Reference Guide for Local Organizations, which supports civil society organizations (CSOs) to prevent and counter violent extremism by synthesizing and sharing the most relevant material related to the Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) project cycle —Assess, Design, Implement, Monitor & Evaluate, and Learn.
This interactive guide was developed through dozens of CSO consultations and more than a decade of implementation experience. After numerous conversations, CSOs indicated a need for more guidance on M&E as applied to P/CVE. In response to this need, Theo will give participants an in depth look at the guide and how it can be adjusted to meet an individual’s specific needs, focusing on the guide’s M&E module.
The presentation will be followed by a feedback session and Q&A. We invite participants to review the guide in advance, so they can provide targeted feedback and questions. This will help FHI 360 further advance the guide to fit practitioners’ needs.
