Event Description

The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and FHI 360 are convening a virtual panel of global experts to discuss the state of pandemic preparedness in Africa, COVID-19 prevention steps already underway and local solutions to mitigate the pandemic’s impact.

How is Africa adapting global guidance to leverage existing health programs and accommodate local realities and context, especially in regard to 1) testing policy; 2) the use of community health care professionals; and 3) social distancing in informal, peri-urban settlements.
