What happens when we are not in control of our data?
What can we learn about the principles of data justice to guide and drive the work of Vibrant Hawaiʻi?
This workshop features Abigail Echo-Hawk and Liz Medicine Crow, leaders in the emerging field of data justice. Abigail and Liz will share why they champion this work, how they apply principles of data justice in their organizations and how this has shifted the narrative of their communities, challenges they have experienced, and how we promote ethical data practices to ensure justice for our community.
