Dear Gender and Evaluation community,
The month of June marks The Improve Group’s 15-year anniversary. In this time, I have found Gender and Evaluation listserv, as well as other evaluation-focused listservs, to be my professional “home”. From the challenging questions posed, to the theoretical and philosophical positions, to the professional camaraderie, this has been a wonderful community. Thank you, Gender and Evaluation members!
To commemorate The Improve Group’s milestone, we dedicated June 8 to a day of service and celebration. Our team volunteered at three local organizations, and continued the celebration with an evening party for our friends, colleagues and partners. We’ve posted several pictures from the day if you are curious: https://www.facebook.com/theImproveGroup/photos_stream.
As we greet the next 15 years, we launched a new website that represents our values of inclusiveness and creativity. This new website is accessible, approachable and embodies our spirit of bringing joy to our work. We publish regular content about issues in evaluation; you can find it on our blog. In particular, over the next few months, we will be discussing equity in evaluation, aligned with the 2015 year of Evaluation.
