This synthesis draws on evidence from 17 humanitarian evaluations across diverse crisis settings. It identifies key feminist evaluation innovations across four domains - design, methods, analysis, and ethics - illustrating how feminist principles can be embedded throughout the evaluation process. It also surfaces broader shifts required at policy, institutional, and practice levels to realise the transformative potential of feminist approaches in humanitarian contexts.

The toolkit translates these insights into applied guidance for evaluators and organisations. It provides step-by-step support across the full evaluation cycle, including planning, design, methods, analysis, ethics, and dissemination. Drawing on global feminist evaluation practice, humanitarian guidance, and gender evaluation standards, it includes adaptable tools, participatory and arts-based methods, guiding questions, and templates for field application.

Our Research Report centres the lived experiences, generational knowledge, and resilience strategies of small and marginal women farmers from the coastal (Bhavnagar) and hilly (Dahod & Panchmahal) regions i.e two contrasting agro-climatic zones of Gujarat. Through their voices, the study reveals exactly how climate change intersects with gender, land rights, labour burdens, and food security.

En 2013, à Madagascar, le projet ISM a identifié des barrières liées au genre sur l’utilisation de la contraception par les jeunes filles malgaches. En effet, l’analyse de genre a révélé que le soutien du partenaire et de l’entourage reste le déterminant majeur quant à cette utilisation. Seule la moitié des jeunes filles ciblées pensaient que leur partenaire serait favorable à l’utilisation de la contraception.  L’opposition des hommes et leur rejet de la planification familiale sont enracinés dans leur manque d’informations, de plus exacerbé par les fausses rumeurs sur les effets secondaires.  Pour ce faire, à travers les activités de pair éducation et un feuilleton radiophonique, le projet ISM vise à améliorer le niveau de connaissances sur la planification familiale des hommes pour que ces derniers puissent devenir des clients des services de santé reproductive ; des partenaires équitables et solidaires; et des agents de changement dans leur communauté. Ce webinaire sera présenté en français par Ando Rambeloson (PSI/Madagascar) et Tina Razafinimanana (IntraHealth/Madagascar). 

Ando Rambeloson est le Coordinateur de programmes de Planification Familiale et de la Santé de la Reproduction des Adolescents de Population Services International (PSI) Madagascar. Elle a plus de neuf années d’expérience professionnelle auprès d’ONGs internationales, avec six années d’expérience dans la gestion de programme de la Santé de la Reproduction. 

Tina Razafinimanana est le Coordinateur des Activites pour l'Equité des Genre d'IntraHealth International à Madagascar. Au cours de ses 9 ans d'expérience dans le domaine du programme de santé elle a acquis une expertise dans l'analyse de genre et intégration tout au long du cycle de projet ; recherches qualitatives et quantitatives ; renforcement des capacités ; plaidoyer; analyse des données et mise en œuvre.
