F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter
Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Global health practitioners have used the Guide to Monitoring and Evaluating Knowledge Management in Global Health Programs since 2013 to evaluate how knowledge management (KM) activities and tools are effective at supporting global health and development efforts. Published by the Global Health Knowledge Collaborative (GHKC), the guide has now been updated and adapted into a searchable web-based indicator library where global health practitioners can download clearly-defined, measurable, and observable indicators for their M&E needs.
