Event Description

Join MEASURE Evaluation  for a one-hour webinar sharing project work on gender and key populations. The webinar will be led by MEASURE Evaluation’s Katherine Andrinopoulos.
Despite the recognized importance of gender in the lives of key populations for HIV, few clear options exist for mapping descriptive gender analyses to actionable programs. This is especially true in concentrated epidemic settings, where a human rights framework rather than a “gender lens” approach has traditionally guided HIV programming. During this webinar, we will discuss possibilities for merging these perspectives and unraveling the complexity of integrating gender in HIV programming for key populations.
Through this webinar, MEASURE Evaluation will present evidence from a literature review and the results of two gender analyses conducted among key populations. The first analysis focused on men who use injection drugs and their female sexual partners in Vietnam. The second focused on Haitian female sex workers in the Dominican Republic.
