Drawing on research across four states, the study reveals a spectrum of digitalisation—highlighting improved efficiency, transparency, and communication through digital tools—while also uncovering challenges such as increased workloads, unpaid digital labour, and inequities linked to gender, age, education, and caste. The report offers actionable recommendations to ensure digital tools empower ASHAs without adding strain or deepening inequalities.
