Claudy Vouhé shared GRB in local authorities (French)
Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB) shows that the development of a budget and budgetary choices are powerful levers in terms of gender equality. We share our lessons learned in the field: a 5-step method, concrete examples (culture, sport, subsidies, public procurement, etc.) and keys to success. An operational work to objectify the impact of public policies and budgets and make RHL accessible.
Anuradha Kapoor Shared Swayam Recent Published Study
This exploratory study foregrounds the largely invisible issue of natal family violence (NFV) in India, exploring its forms, prevalence, and deep, long-term impacts on women's lives. It challenges the myth of the natal home as a safe space and centres survivor voices and lived experiences. The findings expose systemic silences and institutional barriers to justice. It offers vital insights for policy reform, feminist praxis, and deeper societal reflection.

Tara Prasad Gnyawali - Narrative
My flashback to working with wildlife-affected communities living in a biological transboundary corridor in Bardiya, Nepal, where I spent my golden 15 years. This story reflects changes that demonstrate how a community's tolerance extends to coexistence, and that is only due to the well-integrated planning of Ecotourism opportunities for the community.

Dear Friends,
Greetings!
I am a Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Hyderabad, India. I have been teaching a course titled: Gender and Development Practice for Masters degree students for over a decade. Students are introduced to the most prominent gender analytical frameworks and are given exercises through case vignettes to help them use the frameworks. Most often they use Naila Kabeer's social relations framework and also ask questions while assessing number of ideas, plans and policies whether they are addressing gender practical needs or gender strategic needs or whether gender practical needs are being addressed strategically to then move into asking strategic interests (lot of playing around with Caroline Moser and Maxine Molyneux ideas). Also use gender specific, gender neutral and gender transformative classification for analysis (Naila Kabeer's ideas)
While there is lot of literature on the inadequacies in the development theorising and practice from the point of view of gender; then different frameworks that have emerged to help make a difference; I have not been able to find any case studies volume or a book or books that actually demonstrate the application of these frameworks from the conception of a project and the difference it could make to build a gender sensitive or gender transformative programme or development initiative. I would even like to see evaluation research outputs using any of these frameworks for the assessment and analysis.
I am writing to all of you to share with me resources that you are aware of which will be useful to me and my students. The examples can be from livelihoods, health, education or any sector. Kindly share them on this link and if you would like to mail me pdfs or links to google drive - kindly write to me on lakshmi.lingam@gmail.com. I would appreciate an early response since the course is on and I can integrate your support at the earliest.
Thanks
Lakshmi Lingam.
