SAVE THE DATE: Webinar on the Guidance on the Integration of Humanitarian Principles in the Evaluation of Humanitarian Action

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to invite you to a global webinar hosted by the Humanitarian Evaluation Working Group (HEWG) to officially launch and disseminate the Guidance on the Integration of Humanitarian Principles in the Evaluation of Humanitarian Action. This important event will take place on October 14 at 9am (New York), 3pm (Geneva/Rome), 4pm (Nairobi/Amman).

This 60-minute webinar is tailored for evaluation practitioners, including managers and evaluators from both UN and non-UN organizations. The recently published guidance provides crucial tools for integrating the core humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence into evaluations conducted in complex humanitarian settings.

The session will feature insights from Margie Buchanan-Smith, the author of the guidance, alongside experienced humanitarian evaluators, and will highlight how this guidance can be applied to strengthen the quality and credibility of humanitarian evaluations.

To register for the webinar, please use the following link: Webinar Registration - Zoom

We encourage you to review the guidance ahead of the webinar and share this invitation with your colleagues and networks to ensure broad participation in this important event.

We look forward to your participation!

 Best regards,

 Sara & Laura

Hope you can attend the webinar next Monday. I also want to share the link to the Guidance:

https://www.unevaluation.org/document/detail/3520

This guide has been written to provide practical guidance and tools to evaluators and evaluation managers, to integrate humanitarian principles (HPs) into standard evaluations of humanitarian action, and thus to strengthen the attention paid to HPs in evaluations of international humanitarian action, particularly in situations of armed conflict.

The UNEG Humanitarian Evaluation Working Group is piloting this guidance. They group is very eager to hear from evaluation managers and practitioners who are using it in their work. If you are using it and are able to provide some feedback on your experience, please send me a message!

Thank you,

Florencia
