F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

"MASSE, the Madagascar VOPE, is organizing an official ceremony on Friday April 17th in Antananarivo, to launch the celebration of the International Year for Evaluation!
The official launch will coincide with two other events, as important as the main one:
- the organization of the first ever decentralized PIFED called PICFED (the French version of IPDET) in Antananarivo for two weeks with the ENAP Québec
- and the official  launch of the development of a National Policy document for Evaluation in Madagascar, also a first of its kind!
The event will be attended by the Prime Minister, Ministers from the central Government, Members Parliament, high ranking government officials, Donors Representatives, representatives from the private sector and the civil society, representatives from the National Academy and Universities, and of course professional evaluators members of MASSE. The event will be special as the President just reminded in a recent public speech this week that the culture of results will be the rule and evaluation the tool!
