Issue # 2 of TRANSFORM: magazine on gender-responsive evaluation

Issue # 2 of TRANSFORM, the first magazine exclusively dedicated to gender-responsive evaluation, is now available!

 

Published by the Independent Evaluation Office of UN Women, it aims to communicate good practices on gender-responsive evaluations, as well as evaluation findings on what works for gender equality.

As a result of the corporate evaluation of UN Women's contribution to women's economic empowerment, TRANSFORM Issue #2 addresses the topic of women’s economic empowerment, a critical subject not only for achieving gender equality but also for overall development and poverty reduction. Issue #2 of TRANSFORM presents key lessons for the future work on women's economic empowerment that are relevant not only for UN Women but also for the entire development community. In addition, TRANSFORM showcases the application of a gender-responsive approach to evaluation introducing a standalone criteria on gender equality and human rights and focusing on the extend to which the work on women's economic empowerment tackles the underlying causes of inequality and discrimination.

Thank You! my current work with Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and from Syria really confrim the need to stop labelling. Dwindling resources and scarce opportunities make life extremely difficult for them. the continuing cycle of violence and lack of interest in their problems make the future look very bleak. the resilience of the people is amazing... they need to be integrated and supported
