The 7th edition of the Milan Summer School on “Cost-Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects” will be held on September 18-23, 2017, offering an intensive learning experience focused on the ex-ante appraisal (Cost Benefit Analysis) of Major Projects asking for co-financing under the European Structural and Investment Funds in the programming period 2014-2020.
Are you an emerging professional or researcher dealing with programme and/or project management of EU Funds? A decision maker of major projects in the fields of transport, environment, industry, energy, telecommunications and culture? An evaluator or analyst interested in getting to know all the tricks of the trade of CBA? Then this summer school is for you!
In addition to an improved knowledge on CBA participants will get the chance to enroll in active debates and network with the authors of the EU “Guide to Cost Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects: Economic Appraisal Tool for Cohesion Policy 2014 – 2020”.
The summer school is structured into two modules. It will provide an overview and introduction to principles and methods of CBA and, at the same time, offer a more in-depth understanding of sectoral applications (visit the full program here).
Moreover, this year, it will welcome an international workshop focusing on the role of CBA in government decision-making - a joint event organized by the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis, University of Milan and CSIL. The workshop is free of charge for participants from the summer school and will count with the presence of representatives of the European Commission, World Bank and OECD.
Note also that there are several discount opportunities, such as discounts for more than one participant from the same institution and for those who work at European Institutions. Not yet convinced? Why not combine the summer school, which will take place at the heart of Milan, with a trip to the city? Plus, it will be the Milan Fashion week, so, a lot of things happening.
Only good reasons to join! Make sure you get your seat before the 16th of June (deadline for applications, limited seats). For more information, please visit the website or contact Jessica Catalano (catalano@csilmilano.com) +39 02 796630 or +39 02780497 (ext. 47).
