Event Description

Gender inequality and social exclusion are inextricably linked to social, economic, and health outcomes as root causes of poor health and wellbeing. Efforts to address gender inequality and social exclusion lead to long-lasting and sustainable change. A Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) approach are therefore essential for the success of global health programs and initiatives.

This webinar will explore what a GESI approach is and how it can be integrated into global health programs and initiatives. Using the LSTM/THET Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Toolkit for Health Partnerships as a guide, it will discuss key activities and tools that can be used to take a GESI approach. Reflections on integrating GESI into health systems programs through the UK Health Partnerships, including challenges and opportunities, will also be provided.
