F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Event Description

The primary monitoring tools in Outcome Mapping are journals. There are journals to record the activities and outputs you produce to support your boundary partners (the strategy journal) and journals to record your observations of behavioural change in your boundary partners (the outcome journal). This session will demonstrate how Google Forms has been used in two projects as an electronic, cloud-based journal. We’ll discuss different design options for journals, show you some different solutions we’ve developed and discuss the pros and cons of these.

Who is this for? This session is aimed at people who have used or are intending to use OM and are familiar with journals in OM.

Panellists: Kaia Ambrose and Simon Hearn
