F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

As you know, the Community of Evaluators – South Asia (CoE-SA) is organizing its 3rd Evaluation Conclave to be held at the Yak and Yeti Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal from 23 to 27 November, 2015 (both days inclusive).Conclave 2015 is a special event being co-organized with EvalPartners and the Parliamentarians' Forum during the Global Evaluation Week, as a culmination of, and celebrating the International Year of Evaluation (EvalYear).
