Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is not just a social issue, it’s a systemic challenge that undermines agricultural value chains.

In rural and isolated areas, GBV threatens women’s safety, limits their economic participation, and weakens food security. When women cannot work safely, entire communities lose resilience, and businesses lose productivity. Climate resilience strategies that overlook gendered risks leave communities exposed and women vulnerable.

Ending GBV is essential for building equitable, sustainable, and climate-resilient agri-food systems; and it’s not only a human rights imperative, but also central to climate adaptation and economic stability.

The good news? Solutions work. Programs like the Women’s Safety Accelerator Fund (WSAF) demonstrate that addressing GBV can enhance productivity and strengthen workforce morale and brand reputation. Safe, inclusive workplaces aren’t just good ethics, they’re smart business.

Invite to feminist leadership hub | Gender and Evaluation

Dear All,
I am Arshiya, and I currently work as the Lead of Programs at One Future Collective, a feminist social purpose organisation based in Mumbai, India. We exist to advance a world built on social justice, led by communities of care, through catalysing people-power and just institutions.
I am excited to introduce The Feminist Leadership Hub to you. It is a virtual, community-driven, peer learning platform centred around Feminist Leadership. It’s a space where civil society practitioners can share and access resources, exchange experiences and ideas, and connect with peers in their region or working on similar topics. The hub is currently governed and led by FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders and One Future Collective.

We are hosting a 2-day Feminist Leadership virtual convening to strengthen feminist leadership by directly addressing the experiences and needs of movement leaders, civil society practitioners, and feminist changemakers.

For this purpose, we are undertaking a leadership needs assessment survey to identify and understand what the needs are so we may plan the convening more effectively. You will also have the opportunity to share your learning needs, session format preferences, and even volunteer to host a community space.

It takes just about 5 minutes and will help us co-create sessions that are timely, relevant, and rooted in feminist care and leadership practices.

Who is this for?

This survey is open to:

  • Civil society professionals, feminist activists, leaders, social changemakers

  • Anyone practicing or exploring feminist leadership

  • People fluent in English and/or French (The sessions will be held in English, with French interpretation).

The survey is open until 31st May 2025. All responses will remain confidential and will inform the convening design.

For questions, please reach out to hello@feministleadershiphub.com

I request you to kindly share this in the upcoming Monthly Corner. I would really appreciate it.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
