F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Call for applications: Golden Award for Excellence in Evaluation

To contribute to the celebration 2015, International Year of Evaluation (EvalYear 2015), the Ivorian Initiative for Evaluation (2IEval) in Collaboration with CAPEC (Political and Economic Analysis Unit) of CIRES (Ivorian Economic and Social Research Centre) has launched the first edition of the Ivorian Golden Award for Excellence in Evaluation.
