F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter
Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Dear all,
Plan International, Women in Cities International (WICI) and UN-HABITAT have developed the Safer Cities for Girls programme (https://plan-international.org/because-i-am-a-girl/creating-safer-c...) which is currently implemented in four cities worldwide. We are planning to do an external evaluation of the programme implementation in Delhi, Hanoi and Kampala.
Please find attached the Terms of Reference. Plan_International_Terms_of_Reference_External-evaluation_Safer-Cit... If interested, please send your proposal until January, 25th to Harriet Lange: harriet.lange@plan.de
Thank you very much

Hello Dr. Stuckert
Could you please clarify whether the evaluation is just for the program as implemented in the city of Delhi or for the remaining two cities (excluding Cairo)? It is mentioned that adolescent stakeholders need to be recruited in the study only from the city of Delhi but the evaluation scope certainly is larger. There is a little ambiguity about the cities from which the stakeholders need to be covered.
I would appreciate a clarification from you since the contact person mentioned in the RFP is out of office for sometime now.
Regards
Pratyasha
