The India Gender Report – the first of its kind – is conceived and envisaged in the context of the many gendered rights that are enshrined in the Constitution of India. The endeavour is to examine myriad essential aspects of the gendered economic, extra-economic and non-economic status perceived from the prism of transformative feminist finance in order to demystify the enabler and simultaneously the de-enabler role of the Macro-Patriarchal State. Each of the 26 chapters, which interlink academics, analysis, advocacy and action, indicate four universal processes across all sectors and sub-sectors: the reinforcement of gender de-equalisation; the intensification of patriarchal rigidities; the deepening of economic and extra-economic divides; the increased exclusion of vulnerable and marginalised groups.

Masterclass - 'Unpacking Gender Transformative Evaluations'. at Online

February 2, 2023 from 11:30am to 1pm
In the context of the work and approach of the Institute of Social Studies Trust (ISST), it is pertinent and desirable to continue generating fresh evidence to (a) identify the need and direction for newer interventions and (b) help measure impact using a critical gender transformative lens so that programs can move beyond just numbers and capture the normative and cultural shifts that will challenge patriarchy and create the conditions for real change towards gender equality. Gender…See More

November 25, 2021 from 10am to 11am
Violence against women and girls continues to be a devastating experience for individuals, families, and communities in peace, conflict, and crisis areas. 1 in 3 females experience sexual violence from partners, non-partners, or both according to the UN. Females face potential violence in their homes, workplaces, schools, and communities; as well as online. The current pandemic has exacerbated risk factors for violence against women and girls, such as poverty and unemployment. Hard won rights,…See More
