OECD/DAC Newsletter + Question on ECD challenges for our community

Dear Colleagues,

I hope this note finds you well. Attached is the most recent issue of the OECD/DAC Network on Development Evaluation Newsletter dedicated to Evaluation Capacity Development (ECD) and put together by David Rider Smith and his team at DFID. In order to access the document, please click on the link below:
I had the pleasure to contribute to this publication (see the synopsis of my article on the "RBM-ization" and "Normalization" of the Evaluation function on page 7). All the other authors shared some very interesting perspectives on ECD from their unique organizational standpoints. Overall, the one attached is a reader-friendly and -hopefully-inspirational piece for all those within our community who are interested in ECD.
Stay tuned for more interesting ECD work coming up this summer! I would be particularly interested in hearing back from some gender and evaluation professionals out there on the challenges that they have faced so far during the design and implementation of their ECD strategies. If you would like, you could also contact me at mitarsi@hotmail.com

Thank you very much,

Michele

Dear Michele,

Thanks for sharing the newsletter which gives a comprehensive overview of what is happening for capacity building in the field of evaluation. I found your article particularly useful as it clearly shows the distinction between RBM and Evaluation. Would you like to cross-post it here?

How can we add new resources to this newsletter?

Again congratulations to David and his team at DFID and thanks to you our nearly 800 members have access to this newsletter.

Best regards,

Rituu
