Event Description

This flagship event will be the opportunity to discuss the factors behind the lack of access and participation in science in India, bringing together speakers with a rich combination of expertise and lived experiences to reflect on caste, gender and religion within Indian science.

This event is organised and moderated by Chandrakant Redican, Falling Walls Engage community member, together with Siddharth Kankaria, in partnership with the National Centre for Biological Sciences. We will also have the pleasure to be joined during this panel by P. Sainath, Founding Editor of People's Archive of Rural India.

We invite everyone associated with or interested in Indian science to join us for this plenary talk and panel discussion. Your voices, experiences, and inputs are vital and essential for making this event meaningful and for developing a set of action points!

Register and discover the panelists here

You can submit your questions to the panel until 14 September here.
