Evaluation of UN Women’s Work on the Care Economy in East and Southern Africa
Evaluation of UN Women's work on the Care Economy in East and Southern Africa - Evaluation Report
A regional study of gender equality observatories in West and Central Africa, carried out by Claudy Vouhé for UN Women
Sources: UN Women
This regional study offers an inventory and analysis of the legal framework of gender observatories, their attributions, functions and missions. It is based on exchanges with 21 countries, in particular the eleven countries that have created observatories. It compares the internal organisation and budgets of the observatories between countries, looks at operational practices, in particular the degree of involvement in the collection and use of data, and identifies obstacles and good practices in terms of influencing pro-gender equality public policies. Finally, the study draws up a list of strategic recommendations intended for observatories, supervisory bodies and technical and financial partners.

Tara Prasad Gnyawali Article - 2025
This article focused on the story of community living in a wildlife corridor that links India and Nepal, namely the Khata Corridor, which bridges Bardiya National Park of Nepal and Katarnia Wildlife Sanctuary of Uttar Pradesh, India.
This article revealed how the wildlife mobility in the corridor affects community livelihoods, mobility, and social inclusion, with a sense of differential impacts on farming and marginalised communities.

We are very excited to announce the launch of the English version of the IOCE/EvalPartners VOPE Institutional Capacity Toolkit. This Toolkit (initially in English) is now completed and was just (on February 24, 2015) officially launched at the EvalMENA conference in Cairo. The French version will be launched in April 2015. A two-page introductory brochure is attached. You are now invited to go to www.vopetoolkit.ioce.net and start exploring this amazing library of resource materials especially collected for leaders of VOPEs. The website contains a rich set of resources with the English version of the website currently consisting of 32 sections and 177 resources. Note: On each of the three main sections of the website there are very brief descriptions of each of the 32 sub-sections. By clicking on the blue headline of a section you will be hyperlinked to the set of resource materials pertinent to that subject. Note also that you have the option of viewing the resources online, or download them in PDF format, or print them. You can get involved in the following ways: Become familiar with the www.vopetoolkit.ioce.net website. Search for resource materials you feel would be especially useful for your own VOPE. Train others on use of the Toolkit. Volunteer to be a Toolkit Champion. Advocate and share with others, e.g. at national or regional evaluation conferences. Contribute additional resources you feel would be valuable additions to this e-library. Suggest/ contribute new topics you feel should be included on the website. You are invited to rate resources that you find especially useful (or not), and also submit comments on the bottom of each section of the website itself. Volunteer to translate into other languages materials you feel would be especially useful to VOPEs in your region. If you are interested in following the progress of this project, follow us on twitter @VopeToolKit or #VopeToolKit
