F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

NEC e-discussion started today -join the discussion

The first NEC e-discussion started today (9 June). The topic is "How to engage Parliamentarians to promote demand and use of evaluation" and the discussion shall provide a space to exchange expert opinions and experiences international events such as the 2014 Parliamentarians Forum on Development Evaluation in South Asia to take place in Sri Lanka in September 2014, and 11th EES Biennial Conference - Evaluation for an Equitable Society in Ireland in October 2014.
