Getting Adolescent Girls Ready for the Workforce: From Classrooms to Careers

There are many contrasts in South Asia. At previously unheard-of rates, millions of teenage girls are enrolling in school, completing secondary education, and even starting college. However, women continue to have one of the lowest rates of labour force participation worldwide.

It takes more than just keeping girls in school to close this gap. It entails preparing them for the workforce and equipping them with the skills, confidence, and autonomy they need to thrive in rapidly evolving economies. The crucial time for this preparation is during adolescence.
