The United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization UNESCO is seeking an evaluation team to conduct the final evaluation of the Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future (O3) project in Malawi. The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of the O3 Malawi project, and identify opportunities, challenges, lessons and recommendations to shape future programming and implementation of UNESCO of initiatives to advance education, health and wellbeing of adolescents and young people.
The evaluation is planned between Oct 2023 and Feb 2024. Interested companies are invited to apply by 30 Sep 2023.

UN Women Regional Evaluation Specialist for Asia and the Pacific is recruiting evaluation consultants with expertise in integrating LGBTIQ+ and disability inclusion perspectives in UN Women’s evaluation work, including through inclusive approaches with the aim of ensuring the “leave no one behind” principle is prioritized in evaluations. The consultant will have experience integrating analysis on intersecting forms of discrimination in research and/or evaluation. This consultancy is on a retainer basis to ensure UN Women’s evaluations are human rights focused, inclusive, gender responsive, culturally responsive, and participatory.

The Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women (GAATW) is looking for a consultant to carry out an evaluation of a research and advocacy project on women's labour migration in the South Asia- Middle East corridor. The timeline for the task is November-December 2023. The final evaluation report will need to be completed by 15 January 2024. This RFQ is for the development of a set of training modules on gender-responsive Results-Based Management based on UN Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG) and UN Women corporate guidance, and convert these modules into digitally animated training modules and for which an animation company will be hired separately. For clarification purposes, the training modules will be used for in-person trainings and the animated videos will be created as a separated asset to be used in trainings.

The Freedom Fund Ethiopia Hotspot seeks an innovative consultant (or team) to provide on-the-ground coaching and technical expertise in aspects of data collection and analysis to strengthen partners' capacity to understand and use their data for improved programming. The ideal consultant will be able to inform how partners assess and interpret the data they collect against the proposed outcomes from their work, and firmly ground that understanding in the skillset of the partner staff.
This technical assistance opportunity will work towards the following objectives:
Areas of work include:
Harnessing Tools for Data Collection and Analysis through iterative processes
Providing tool refinement and tailored coaching to partners on specific tools that have been created for the program, to ensure applicability and consistency according to the needs of partners. These tools include:
Designing a dashboard for partners to reflect on their impact (based on partner quarterly report data)
Understanding and Using Data (utilising examples from PEMS program data)

The Building Back Equal (BBE) project aims to enhance the resilience of women's livelihoods, particularly those who are most marginalized, such as survivors of violence against women (VAW) and elderly women, across Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The project focuses on bolstering access to comprehensive social protection packages tailored to reduce unpaid care work burdens, alongside establishing reliable referral pathways inclusive of sexual and reproductive health services. Strengthening healthcare systems to ensure quality sexual and reproductive health services for women and youth is also a pivotal aspect of the project's strategy.
The project's theory of change hinges on the premise that by expanding access to subsidized childcare, reliable sexual and reproductive health services, climate and shock-responsive social protection, and opportunities for innovative financing and environmentally-friendly business practices, women, particularly the most marginalized, will achieve economic resilience. This resilience, in turn, is anticipated to enhance productivity and contribute to national development, thereby fostering a more equitable society. Under the auspices of UN Women, the project is structured to address critical areas such as childcare, eldercare, and care for persons with disabilities, while also examining gender dynamics within taxation policies to promote equality.
The Gender and Development Economist, operating under the supervision of UN Women, will spearhead two crucial studies: the Care Economy Study and the Gender, Taxation, and Equality Study. These studies aim to elucidate the nuances of care work, both paid and unpaid, and its economic impact, while also scrutinizing tax policies for their gender implications. By conducting comprehensive research and delivering actionable recommendations, these studies endeavor to inform policy decisions and foster dialogue among stakeholders, including policymakers, parliamentarians, civil society organizations, and private sector entities, to drive meaningful change towards gender equality and inclusive economic development in the target countries.
