F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter
Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Hello everyone,
The latest batch of papers have now been added to INTRAC's M&E Universe. These are seven papers concerned with the M&E of capacity strengthening which form a part of the M&E of Development Approaches section. Additionally, there is also a new paper on the Qualitative Impact Protocol (QUIP) written by Vera Scholz which is part of the Complex Methods section. The intrac.org/universe link reflects this change.
For anyone not familiar with it, the M&E Universe is a repository of short free papers on a variety of topics to do with M&E practice, written specifically for civil society organisations. The new additions take the total number of papers to a massive 113 (!).
Kind regards,
Floresca Karanasou
