F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

يسر جمعية التقييم التنموي الأردنية مشاركتكم الأنشطة التي ستقوم بتنفيذها خلال الأسبوع الدولي للتقييم والذي سيقام خلال الأسبوع الأول من شهر حزيران 2020. حيث سيتم خلال هذا الأسبوع عقد أنشطة تعنى بمشاركة المعارف والخبرات والتجارب ما بين المقيميين والمهتمين بالتقييم حول العالم. ستشارك العديد من المؤسسات في هذا الحدث العالمي ومن العديد من الدول، ويسعدنا في جمعية التقييم التنموي الأردنية أن نكون جزءًا من هذا الاسبوع ونتطلع قدمًأ لمشاركاتكم معنا حتى نتمكن سويًا من إظهار الكفاءات والمهارات والخبرات الموجودة في المنطقة العربية في مجال التقييم.

A big international event is starting today!!


The gLOCAL Evaluation week, which is platform for evaluation knowledge-sharing and networking events will take a place from 1st -5th June 2020, it includes several M&E related events across the world.


‏We are very proud to inform you that EvalJordan submitted a proposal to host several online activities during the evaluation week and it was accepted by gLocal. The details of the sessions as below: 


- Online campaign on EvalJordan social media venues, where every day we will share at least one article about evaluation methods, lessons learnt and reference evaluation reports. (1st June)
- Online debate on EvalJordan LinkedIn Page about “What are the key challenges at global & local levels for evaluation? (2nd June)
- Outcome Harvesting in evaluation approaches online session. (5th June)
- Why Gender and perspective of marginalized voices (Leave no one behind) must be being considered in evaluations and in preparation of VNRs aside of SDG5. (2nd June)

 

We encourage all of you to register for free and participate in these interactive sessions.
