Claudy Vouhé shared GRB in local authorities (French)

Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB) shows that the development of a budget and budgetary choices are powerful levers in terms of gender equality. We share our lessons learned in the field: a 5-step method, concrete examples (culture, sport, subsidies, public procurement, etc.) and keys to success. An operational work to objectify the impact of public policies and budgets and make RHL accessible.

Anuradha Kapoor Shared Swayam Recent Published Study

This exploratory study foregrounds the largely invisible issue of natal family violence (NFV) in India, exploring its forms, prevalence, and deep, long-term impacts on women's lives. It challenges the myth of the natal home as a safe space and centres survivor voices and lived experiences. The findings expose systemic silences and institutional barriers to justice. It offers vital insights for policy reform, feminist praxis, and deeper societal reflection.

Tara Prasad Gnyawali - Narrative

My flashback to working with wildlife-affected communities living in a biological transboundary corridor in Bardiya, Nepal, where I spent my golden 15 years. This story reflects changes that demonstrate how a community's tolerance extends to coexistence, and that is only due to the well-integrated planning of Ecotourism opportunities for the community.

Event Description

We are pleased to announce the KIP Multidisciplinary Conference to be held at the Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut on March 31st and April 1st 2017. In line with the objectives of our project (http://thekipproject.info/), the two-day KIP Project conference strives to support and augment a multi-stakeholder dialogue concerning discrimination and sexual harassment related to gender and sexuality in Lebanon.

We plan through this conference to provide a space for participants to explore multi- and cross-sector initiatives and partnerships to better mobilize and take action in the process of addressing discrimination and sexual harassment within our national and regional context. Throughout the conference, we hope to generate recommendations for policies, practices and theory that are informed by multiple local perspectives and that provide momentum for specific ways through which we can support each other in the implementation of positive change forward.

We welcome submissions from diverse fields including public health, medicine, management, development, economics, gender studies, human geography, economics, psychology, political science, public administration, philosophy, theater studies and other fields. Work may be theoretical or based on empirical work, as well as providing a forum for educating participants. We are also keen to include artists whose work focuses on the complex representations of people’s experience of discrimination and sexual harassment, and how this is shaping contemporary understandings of related issues.

Hello Beatriz,

Although the abstract deadline have passed, you may still submit an abstract by end of this week, including an executive summary of your idea for the conference (500-750 words), the title of your session, as well as objectives, target audience and resources required.

In addition, I would like to note that travel and accommodation costs for conference participants are not among the items we are able to fund. In this light, and in case your abstract is among the ones that get selected for the conference, you may need to identify potential funding sources for covering your travel and accommodation expenses. We will be opening the registration soon. I will keep you posted on this end.

Regards,

Aimee
