Event Description

Social norms define gender roles, responsibilities, and power dynamics. These norms prevent adolescent girls from accessing opportunities and realizing their rights.

Changing these norms and building towards equity requires deep commitment from a range of stakeholders - family members, male allies, communities, schools, policymakers, organizations, and other champions of girls' development. Working with local partners, we mobilize these stakeholders into networks of support that together craft a shared vision to shift deeply ingrained power dynamics.

During this event, the first in ICRW’s 45th anniversary series, we will be joined by speakers from across our global platform who bring unique perspectives and approaches to this work and are committed to disrupting barriers and supporting girls and boys to advance change.
