Evaluation of UN Women’s Work on the Care Economy in East and Southern Africa
Evaluation of UN Women's work on the Care Economy in East and Southern Africa - Evaluation Report
A regional study of gender equality observatories in West and Central Africa, carried out by Claudy Vouhé for UN Women
Sources: UN Women
This regional study offers an inventory and analysis of the legal framework of gender observatories, their attributions, functions and missions. It is based on exchanges with 21 countries, in particular the eleven countries that have created observatories. It compares the internal organisation and budgets of the observatories between countries, looks at operational practices, in particular the degree of involvement in the collection and use of data, and identifies obstacles and good practices in terms of influencing pro-gender equality public policies. Finally, the study draws up a list of strategic recommendations intended for observatories, supervisory bodies and technical and financial partners.

This article focused on the story of community living in a wildlife corridor that links India and Nepal, namely the Khata Corridor, which bridges Bardiya National Park of Nepal and Katarnia Wildlife Sanctuary of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Description: Join the editors of the new book, Visionary Evaluation for a Sustainable, Equitable Future for this webinar. Take a journey to 2030 where Visionary Evaluatives abound and link with one another in actively bringing about a sustainable, equitable future. Utilizing a creative storytelling and visioning approach, the book brings forward the centrality of values in conjunction with evaluation in building a future of well-being for people, nature, and planet. Visionary Evaluatives are guided by six principles. The principles highlight a commitment to equity and the sustainability of nature as core values. They emphasize an orientation of humility, compassion, and transparency as Visionary Evaluatives engage with others in a world of living, entangled systems with both obvious and hidden intersectionalities. Visionary Evaluatives engage in deep praxis—mindful and challenging reflection on what is being learned through the intersection of values, iterative action and inquiry, theory, outcomes, and vision. Through this webinar, you learn how you can contribute to a sustainable, equitable future through evaluation—as a user or practitioner— and in your daily life.

Hi all - so disappointed to have missed this webinar. I was travelling and so not up to date on my emails. I was wondering if there's any possibility the session was recorded or any ppts/resources might be shared? Thanks! Maria
