Claudy Vouhé shared GRB in local authorities (French)

Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB) shows that the development of a budget and budgetary choices are powerful levers in terms of gender equality. We share our lessons learned in the field: a 5-step method, concrete examples (culture, sport, subsidies, public procurement, etc.) and keys to success. An operational work to objectify the impact of public policies and budgets and make RHL accessible.

Anuradha Kapoor Shared Swayam Recent Published Study

This exploratory study foregrounds the largely invisible issue of natal family violence (NFV) in India, exploring its forms, prevalence, and deep, long-term impacts on women's lives. It challenges the myth of the natal home as a safe space and centres survivor voices and lived experiences. The findings expose systemic silences and institutional barriers to justice. It offers vital insights for policy reform, feminist praxis, and deeper societal reflection.

Tara Prasad Gnyawali - Narrative

My flashback to working with wildlife-affected communities living in a biological transboundary corridor in Bardiya, Nepal, where I spent my golden 15 years. This story reflects changes that demonstrate how a community's tolerance extends to coexistence, and that is only due to the well-integrated planning of Ecotourism opportunities for the community.

Event Description

School closures have been shown to lead to increases in dropout rates and long-term health risks. To prevent this during the COVID-19 pandemic, Young 1ove, one of the largest youth NGOs in Botswana, quickly pivoted from delivering in-person educational programs to remotely teaching students and assessing their learning.

In our latest webinar, we’re turning things over to the leadership at Young 1ove, who’ll share valuable lessons on using new tools and retraining staff to maintain service delivery during closures and lockdowns. Join us on July 29, 2020 at 1 PM UTC / 9 AM ET to learn how to design and deliver remote teaching programs using SurveyCTO and other tools. Anyone who is interested in best practices for safe and remote service delivery, whether focused on education or not, will find this webinar helpful.

Based on Young 1ove’s experience, you’ll learn broader approaches and best practices for shifting to remote service delivery, including the following

  • Quick mobilization to collect and vet beneficiary phone numbers.
  • Redesign of programs from in-person to remote delivery.
  • Selection of remote service delivery and evaluation tools, such as bulk SMS services, phone surveying software, and mobile data collection tools (e.g., SurveyCTO).
  • Remote staff training on how to use new digital tools.
