Event Description

The webinar is part of HNSA's initiatives for this year's 16 Days of Activism campaign.

Over the past year, given the renewed set of challenges that COVID-19 has brought on, HNSA has made concrete steps on addressing the issue of violence faced by home-based workers. It has sought to empower home-based workers with access to critical grievance mechanisms while also building awareness on the issue of violence during the pandemic.

Continuing our efforts in this area, on the first day of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, which this year is focusing on the Ratification of C190 with a special focus on women in the informal economy, we are holding a discussion and training that aims to equip home-based workers to deal with the issue of violence in their homes, workplace, and in their communities. The session will see opening remarks by Chandni Joshi, Enforcer - HNSA, and Maha Muna, Regional General Advisor, UNICEF Rosa.

This Webinar is to introduce the "VAW Training Material" developed under UNICEF Funded Project to its Member Organizations. We want your organization and HBWs Leaders to participate in this webinar. We especially encourage the participation of home-based workers and leaders and are offering translations in Hindi too.
