Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is not just a social issue, it’s a systemic challenge that undermines agricultural value chains.

In rural and isolated areas, GBV threatens women’s safety, limits their economic participation, and weakens food security. When women cannot work safely, entire communities lose resilience, and businesses lose productivity. Climate resilience strategies that overlook gendered risks leave communities exposed and women vulnerable.

Ending GBV is essential for building equitable, sustainable, and climate-resilient agri-food systems; and it’s not only a human rights imperative, but also central to climate adaptation and economic stability.

The good news? Solutions work. Programs like the Women’s Safety Accelerator Fund (WSAF) demonstrate that addressing GBV can enhance productivity and strengthen workforce morale and brand reputation. Safe, inclusive workplaces aren’t just good ethics, they’re smart business.

Event Description

Design and facilitate effective trainings, workshops, conferences or larger meetings for your target groups

Most professionals will at some point facilitate workshops, conferences or meetings. Sometimes you might even be designing and implementing a training programme. Where do you start when designing a training programme? How do you keep your group engaged? Transferring skills and knowledge to learn from each other is valuable and rewarding, if done in the right way. After this course, you will become creative in using a variety of training and facilitation methods. You will be able to recognise group dynamics, facilitate a discussion and build consensus during meeting and events.

Your profile

You are a professional who wants to achieve meaningful, high-quality results from participative meetings and workshops. Or you have a trainer keen to get the best out of your learners. You are open to learn from feedback and enhance your competencies.

What can you expect?

In this course, we offer you a blended learning trajectory, combining online learning and face-to-face training. During the first four weeks of the course, you learn by long-distance through our online learning platform. This online portion takes about 2-3
hours per week. The face-to-face part comprises 5 days.

On completion of the training course and subject to attendance and active participation, MDF Training & Consultancy will award a certificate of completion.
