A regional study of gender equality observatories in West and Central Africa, carried out by Claudy Vouhé for UN Women

This regional study offers an inventory and analysis of the legal framework of gender observatories, their attributions, functions and missions. It is based on exchanges with 21 countries, in particular the eleven countries that have created observatories. It compares the internal organisation and budgets of the observatories between countries, looks at operational practices, in particular the degree of involvement in the collection and use of data, and identifies obstacles and good practices in terms of influencing pro-gender equality public policies. Finally, the study draws up a list of strategic recommendations intended for observatories, supervisory bodies and technical and financial partners.

This article revealed how the wildlife mobility in the corridor affects community livelihoods, mobility, and social inclusion, with a sense of differential impacts on farming and marginalised communities.

Les tâches et responsabilités sont entre autres
a) A tout moment, accomplir de manière fidèle et au mieux de sa capacité professionnelle, de son talent et de son expérience, toutes les tâches qui lui seront demandées. L’employé(e) veillera à ce que lui/elle-même ainsi que les autres employés de l’employeur se conforment à toutes les directives, politiques, procédures, lignes directrices, lois applicables, règles et réglementations de l’AfrEA ;
b) Veiller à ce que la structure organisationnelle, les politiques opérationnelles et d’autres processus administratifs de l’AfrEA soient solides et financièrement viables et répondent de façon efficace et efficiente aux objectifs stratégiques tels que définis par le Conseil d’Administration de l’AfrEA ;
c) Augmenter le niveau de participation des membres dans les programmes et les activités des Associations ;
d) Diriger l’organisation et superviser la gestion des activités quotidiennes, des conférences et des événements de l’AfrEA, exercer une autorité sur les questions liées au personnel et aux ressources humaines et renforcer également la gestion des performances en suivant les indicateurs clés de performance ;
e) Maintenir actualisé et interactif, le système de base de données des membres de l’AfrEA.
