F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Hi everyone!

I am interested in knowing more about bibliometric studies, what they can and can't do, available examples, how much they cost, and how to develop a relevant TOR for a similar study.

I'd like to chat with someone with experience in conducting this type of studies, and also very much interested in chatting with those who have commissioned them to hear their experiences.

I can be reached at emicaro@awid.org. Thank you!
