I thought there may be value in having a discussion thread where members could point out some of the more interesting Gender-based activism that is taking place in their locations. I want to start it of with 'Six of the Best' from the UK. They are quite wide-ranging, some very focused on a specific issue, others broader on all aspects of inequality, but they are all high quality – and in the main the initiatives of determined and articulate young women bringing important issues to the fore.

If you take a look at any of these, do add your comments to the thread and put in some initiatives that you may be aware of in your locality.
