EvalPartners Global Forum, 23-25 November, Kathmandu, Nepal

EvalPartners, IOCE and UNWomen have the pleasure to announce the Call for Applications from VOPEs for the II EvalPartners Global Evaluation Forum to be held at the Parliament of Nepal from 23-25 November. This will be an historic event in which the Global Evaluation Community will celebrate and launch several milestones.

EvalPartners is holding the 2nd Global Forum in the context Global Evaluation Week to commemorate the culmination of the International Year of Evaluation (EvalYear) that saw 32 events all over the world discussing the 2016-2020 Global Evaluation Agenda.

The Global Forum will be attended by VOPE leaders, parliamentarians, government officials, UN agencies, multilateral banks, private foundations and academia, among others. The participants of the event willlaunch the 2016-2020 Global Evaluation Agenda at the Parliament of Nepal, with the participation of an estimated 300 participants, including parliamentarians from all over the world.

In addition, the following new initiatives will be launched:

1.    EvalSDG, whose objective is to strengthen the capacity to evaluate Sustainable Development Goals and related national development goals/strategies;

2.    EvalGender+, whose objective is to strengthen the capacity to demand, supply and use gender-responsive and equity-focused evaluations;

3.    EvalYouth, whose objective is to strengthen the voice and contribution of young and emerging evaluators;

4.    Global Parliamentarians Forum for Development Evaluation, whose objective is to strengthen an enabling environment for evaluation.

The main goal of the EvalPartners Global Forum is to start implementation of the Global Evaluation Agenda by developing action plans in seven thematic areas including above mentioned new initiatives.

The Global Evaluation Week is organized in partnership with Community of Evaluators – South Asia,Parliamentarians Forum for Development EvaluationCommunity of Evaluators NepalNational Planning Commission of Nepal and National Parliamentarians Forum for Development Evaluation Policy in Nepal.

EvalPartners Global Forum will be held in English. Therefore all participants should be fluent in English. However applications can be accepted in English, French, Spanish and Arabic. Application deadline from VOPEs is midnight (GMT) 31st March 2015. Please submit your applications to IOCE@Earthlink.net using the fillable application attached or downloadable from the website.
